Finding Peace Amid Christmas Stress: How The Three Principles Can Transform Holiday Anxiety

The Emotional Rollercoaster of Life

Life can feel like a rollercoaster, and for many of us, it can feel especially so as the Christmas season approaches. Bad news can hit us harder, stress is amplified and overwhelm and anxiety has the potential to take over in the run up to the festive season.

I recently found myself on this emotional ride of life - experiencing ups and downs, moments of high intensity, and a feeling of not being in control. But having an understanding of The Three Principles has made a huge difference for me. This understanding gives me an inner knowing that I am, at my core, always OK, no matter how turbulent things may feel.

This insight has allowed me to separate temporary discomfort from real fear and panic.

I used to experience uncertainty as overwhelming but now I see it as part of the ride, and whilst my experiences recently aren't connected with the Christmas overwhelm I used to find myself in every year from September onwards, I was reminded how this time of the year used to always hold dread and overwhelm for me and so many others I talk to!

When Life Feels Like a Rollercoaster You Can't Get Off

During a particularly challenging moment, I described to someone that I felt trapped on a rollercoaster I couldn’t escape. As I reflected, I realised there’s something inherently safe about rollercoasters: even though they make us feel out of control, they’re designed to keep us safe. Similarly, as humans, we’re built with resilience that carries us through our experiences, even when our minds are in overdrive trying to control the uncontrollable.

Understanding the Built-In Calm

In life, just as on rollercoasters, there are moments of intense adrenaline and moments to catch our breath. Even in the midst of my emotional rollercoaster, I could find moments of calm and peace by being present. Though it may feel challenging, this presence is always available to us, providing an opportunity to regain perspective when the ride starts back up again, and this is the same for you at any time of the year, not just as the intensity of the energy around us increases towards December or while you're going through something challenging.

How The Three Principles Can Help You Find Calm During Stressful Times

This recent experience reminded me of how important it is to take those moments to pause. The more we allow ourselves to catch our breath, the less intense and frequent our feelings of insecurity and fear become. By connecting with our true nature and understanding the essence of who we are, we can access peace of mind and face life’s challenges with greater resilience. Understanding The Three Principles, and continuous exploration of Mind, Thought & Consciousness has been a game changer for me. Just just

Feeling the Pressure of the Season or a Particularly Challenging Period? There’s a Way Out!

Are we overcomplicating mental health?

The continuous spiral of talking about mental illness and neglecting to discuss mental health that’s within us all!

Finding herself in a mental hospital for a month aged 22, her worst fears of going crazy had come true! Sarie truly believed she was broken for many years, and now sees that this was in part due to massively over complicating what it meant be a human being. After a long period of exploring and training as a psychotherapist, still burning out every 18 months for another ten years, Sarie finally found the answer, and now shares the surprising simplicity of it all to help others get the same relief.

Sarie has trained as a transactional analysis psychotherapist, as well as working and training in many other therapeutic disciplines, such as NLP, CBT, DBT and hypnotherapy. Sarie is also an author, celebrity coach and therapist, working with thousands of people a year, of all ages, all over the world. Her main aim is to help them really see the simplicity and beauty behind human nature, getting out of their heads and into their lives, being able to see that the inside out nature of life really is a gift. This removes limitations and stories they may hold about themselves, and as a result finding an ease and contentment in life they often never knew was possible.
