No Idea What To Say...

Blog no idea what to say

Exploring The Three Principles with Sarie Taylor

Have you ever reach the point of overwhelm or too much pressure when your mind goes blank?

That was me today.

I am in that stage between trying to work and holiday and feeling a little like a headless chicken at the same time.

I sat down to write my weekly blog for you - which I have done every week for a long time now. Usually when I begin, usually my blog inspiration just flows and I have something to share.

But today…BLANK!

I often go blank when my head is all over the place. And the more pressure I put on myself to be creative and find something to say, the more blank I become!

This is also in part some brain fog from my hormones, I am getting lots of little things wrong by being so forgetful but that's another blog for another time!

As soon as I started to procrastinate with other things, because I wasn’t feeling a blog topic today, I played with the idea that I could leave it this week and that wouldn’t be the end of the world... Then my mind went quiet for a minute and then wisdom whispered…"share this, share exactly how you feel right now!"

This is the thing: we are all human.

We are all all perfectly imperfect in our own unique way, but as soon as we start to pressure ourselves to be something different to how we are in a given moment, we take ourselves further away from our true essence and peace of mind.

I have also decided whilst sat here writing this to you now, that I am taking the week off next week.

I don’t mean what I usually do - just saying I'm taking the week off and not actually switching off.

No, this time I really intend to take a full week off. I've even told my clients! I will do my membership Monday call and thats it.

I need this and my family need this.

I have learned through time that when I am not trying to do too many things at once, I am like a different person.

Sitting on the beach with my two year old becomes a relaxing pleasure rather than chore and a duty.

Preparing the tea for us all to sit together and chat whilst eating it becomes something to be grateful for and enjoy in the moment, rather than another annoying job to add to the list.

We really can experience anything in a number of different ways, from a number of different perspectives.

This isn’t as simple as saying we should see everything in a positive light all of the time, believe me I have tried that strategy and it's not that easy!

We can, however, listen to our bodies and notice our behaviour and responses to the world around us and make adjustments. We can make things slightly easier on ourselves.

This doesn’t necessarily mean drop everything, but even a small adjustment such as giving ourselves permission to not do something, or taking some time to rest and reset, can have a huge impact on our state of mind.

We can reduce how likely we are to fall into the trap of our insecure, low level thinking.

If you are (a bit like me) wishing time away because it's all feeling a bit much right now, or you are saying things like "I will be OK when...", or "I can’t wait till September...", or "when x happens I will feel better..." - consider what is available RIGHT NOW, right at this very moment.

There is always calm and peace of mind to be accessed internally regardless of how your external world may look and feel.

What small adjustment can you make today?

Give yourself the permission and compassion you deserve. The moments when your mind goes blank are just one of many signs from your body that it's time to make a little adjustment.

If this resonated with you, I'd love to share more with you in my Three Day Mini Course: Understanding Me - it is the turning point for where we can gain a new perspective on how our minds work, and how we can experience more joy from our thoughts and minds.

Are we overcomplicating mental health?

The continuous spiral of talking about mental illness and neglecting to discuss mental health that’s within us all!

Finding herself in a mental hospital for a month aged 22, her worst fears of going crazy had come true! Sarie truly believed she was broken for many years, and now sees that this was in part due to massively over complicating what it meant be a human being. After a long period of exploring and training as a psychotherapist, still burning out every 18 months for another ten years, Sarie finally found the answer, and now shares the surprising simplicity of it all to help others get the same relief.

Sarie has trained as a transactional analysis psychotherapist, as well as working and training in many other therapeutic disciplines, such as NLP, CBT, DBT and hypnotherapy. Sarie is also an author, celebrity coach and therapist, working with thousands of people a year, of all ages, all over the world. Her main aim is to help them really see the simplicity and beauty behind human nature, getting out of their heads and into their lives, being able to see that the inside out nature of life really is a gift. This removes limitations and stories they may hold about themselves, and as a result finding an ease and contentment in life they often never knew was possible.
