Anxiety: It's Not Something to Fight, But to Understand
As someone who receives hundreds of emails and social media messages every week asking for advice on how to get rid of anxiety, I always give the same answer: anxiety is not something to be fought or fixed, but understood.
I understand that it can be frustrating to hear this, especially when you're looking for immediate relief.
However, after trying various forms of therapy over the course of ten years, medication, and other methods to fix my own anxiety, I found that understanding what anxiety was and why it was happening was the key to overcoming it.
I know this may be hard to hear but I now see that anxiety was a gift, a love letter from my body to me, sharing a very important message with me. Anxiety is a survival response from the messages we are sending to ourselves, often innocently without understanding, and the body is doing exactly as it is asked.
My journey towards understanding began when I learned about The Three Principles, (originally shared by Sydney Banks),which I have since shared with thousands of others all over the world through my Membership, one-to-one clients, and my Signature Anxiety Course.
When we begin to understand anxiety, it takes away the fear associated with it and for me it changed the vicious cycle I often found myself in of being anxious about getting anxious!
When we're no longer fearful of something, it doesn't show up in the same way and passes much quicker.
If you're ready to start exploring this understanding, I invite you to watch my free 60-minute video, "Understanding Anxiety.".
Instead of focusing on how to fix or get rid of your anxiety, focus on increasing your understanding of it.
It's my job to share this understanding with you and here's where you can take the first steps to understanding without it costing you a penny!
