How Do I Become More Present?
Exploring The Three Principles with Sarie Taylor
How do I get present?
So many people on social media and in my Membership talk to me about getting present. I hear that question over and over again and it's because when we are stressed, overwhelmed, anxious or feeling really flat - whatever it is that we're experiencing - if we feel we're suffering on some level, we are not present.
I thought I'd share with you the way I see it, and consider it for myself:
I know that my existence is either in two places. I am either in my head, or in my life.
The two are different.
So if you're feeling rubbish, whatever that means for you. Just reflect and get curious and ask yourself:
Am I in my head or am I in my life?
If you're in your head, then you are paying attention to all your thoughts. You may be jumping ahead trying to predict the future. You are going to be feeling and experiencing all of those thoughts that you are paying attention to. It takes you away from the present.
If you are in your life, you are experiencing your life moment to moment. You are present in it, and that's a very very different experience.
I know from my own experience that when I start to feel rubbish, or flat or low, the chances are I've been far too long in my head and not in my life.
If that's you and you're in your head, now is the time to get in to your life and out of your head.

Are we overcomplicating mental health?Â
The continuous spiral of talking about mental illness and neglecting to discuss mental health that’s within us all!Â
Finding herself in a mental hospital for a month aged 22, her worst fears of going crazy had come true! Sarie truly believed she was broken for many years, and now sees that this was in part due to massively over complicating what it meant be a human being. After a long period of exploring and training as a psychotherapist, still burning out every 18 months for another ten years, Sarie finally found the answer, and now shares the surprising simplicity of it all to help others get the same relief.Â
Sarie has trained as a transactional analysis psychotherapist, as well as working and training in many other therapeutic disciplines, such as NLP, CBT, DBT and hypnotherapy. Sarie is also an author, celebrity coach and therapist, working with thousands of people a year, of all ages, all over the world. Her main aim is to help them really see the simplicity and beauty behind human nature, getting out of their heads and into their lives, being able to see that the inside out nature of life really is a gift. This removes limitations and stories they may hold about themselves, and as a result finding an ease and contentment in life they often never knew was possible.Â
